Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory disease in the intestine that if untreated can cause life threatening complications. The disease causes fatigue, weight loss, malnutrition, and in some cases even death. The disease flares up if certain foods are consumed such as processed food, and food high in sugar and animal fat. Crohn’s disease is relatively uncommon, affecting only 1 in 659 Americans, however it affects millions worldwide.
